Inspired by the breath and spirit our company is bearing for 42 years dedicated to creation, roaming and meeting audiences, Gaspar Leclère, with his partners Jean-Pierre Dopagne for writing and Line Adam for musical composition, explores those “extraordinary and unpredictable encounters” that could change our lives drastically.
The Spirit Bearer tells those moments of life which advise people to ask themselves questions, to change course, to go back to square one or simply to take heart again and find a new fervour. Without social nor political claims, by mean of a simple drama, the story depicts these instants where every character, whatever his/her background, has a problem to solve, a dream to pursue.
In a metaphoric way, the desert gains ground, overrun our lives, while wars as well as pandemics make us lose our bearings... An invitation to look beyond the horizon, to observe the sky and learn again to get into position in a world where often the relation to others infuses us with joy and hope.
This new creation revives the beginnings of the company when integrating circus artists into the narrative and exploring the theatrical space of the big top in its three dimensions. An aerial, musical, friendly and deeply humane show.
