Well, dance the winter away now!
..says the ant to the grasshopper, who in his misery has begged for a crumb of bread. And so the little grasshopper dances. Maybe she'll touch the ant's heart?
She dances on one leg, she dances on her hands, she dances on her head, she dances for her life, she dances with death.
She dances the dance of all creatures. The dance of existence.
Everybody dances it in his her its own way. As well, as beautifully, as creatively as he she it possibly can. To please the one or ones who our existence or non-existence in this world depends on.

So that they let us live. Us, the creature. Us, the creation.
Another little while at least, or an eternity... a little one...
Another little year - begs the little old lady
Until I've finished spinning my web - the spider
Until I've finished singing my song - the grasshopper
Until I've cought the bird - the cat


Being both creature and creator, I want to dance with my creations one more time.
For the gods' mercy.
For my pleasure and for you, dear public.
For your love and - for our bread

Weißt du was? Dann tanze jetzt!
..sagt die Ameise zur Grille, die sie in ihrer Not um ein Krümlein Brot anfleht.
Und also tanzt die kleine Grille. Vielleicht, dass sie mit ihrem Tanz das Herz der Ameise erweichen kann?

Sie tanzt auf einem Bein, sie tanzt auf ihren Händen, sie tanzt auf dem Kopf, sie tanzt um ihr Leben, sie tanzt mit dem Tod.

Sie tanzt den Tanz aller Kreatur. Der Tanz für die Existenz. Jeder, jedes, jede tanzt ihn auf seine Art. So gut, so schön, so einfallsreich wie nur irgend möglich. Um dem oder der oder denen zu gefallen, von denen unser Sein oder Nichtsein auf dieser Welt abhängt.
Dass man uns am Leben lässt. Uns - die Kreatur, uns - die Geschöpfe.
Noch ein Weilchen jedenfalls - oder eine Ewigkeit, eine kleine - ein kleines Jährchen noch, bittet die alte Frau
bis ich mein Netz gesponnen habe, - die Spinne
bis ich mein Lied zu Ende gesungen habe, - die Grille
bis ich den Vogel gefangen habe, - die Katze

Geschöpf und Schöpferin zugleich will ich mit diesen meinen Geschöpfen noch einmal tanzen.
Für die Gnade der Götter.
